Beasts Among Us
Beasts Among Us is an animated short film directed by Natalia Durszewicz that reimagines a world in which the roles of humans and animals are reversed. By placing animals in positions of power and humans in the role traditionally assigned to animals, the film challenges our perceptions of dominance and empathy through thought-provoking storytelling.
Julia composed an original electronic score, creating an unsettling sonic landscape that mirrors the film's inverted reality. Using atmospheric synthesizers and evolving textures the music heightens the psychological tension while reinforcing the sense of unease that runs throughout the narrative.
The film was nominated for the Cinéfondation section of the Cannes Film Festival
